The traditional Pasteli is one of the favorites treat for children and is one of the oldest and traditional recipes. It is also a very nutritious and fast-friendly or vegan snack
Ingredients
- ·1kg butter
- · 400gr milk
- · 240 glucose
- ·1,2kg powdered sugar
- ·1.5 sesame seeds
Implementation
In a saucepan, add the butter,
milk, glucose, and powdered sugar until the ingredients are boiled together.
Add sesame seeds
stirring continuously and continue to cook while stirring to mix
completely and thoroughly.
When the seeds are fully mixed in and the
mixture has boiled again, remove from heat.
Spread the mixture on a baking parchment thinly and evenly, on the paper (about 1/4 inch high). Baked in
the oven at 170 degrees Celsius for approximately 30 minutes.
When the pasteli cools to room temperature, refrigerate, as
is, on the parchment paper (it doesn't need to be covered). Chill for at
least 2-3 hours.
